    • According to Section 2914 of the Business and Professions Code of California law, applicants for licensure must also complete 3,000 hours of supervised experience.
    • Half must be completed post-doctorate. It’s important that psychology students meet with their supervisor to ensure that all the appropriate documents are filled out properly and registration with the board is complete.
  • The California psychology licensing law also requires applicants to pass the California Psychology Supplemental Examination (CPSE) and the national Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP).
    • These examinations are available at numerous testing sites throughout the state and are computer-administered.
